Builder Precision.
Every Time.
We're builders first. So when we fix the small thing, we already know what it's attached to, and what you might want to do with it later.

Questions People Ask
Letting someone into your home is the hard part. Here's everything we'd want to know if we were the ones hiring.
No. That's the entire reason this division exists. Realm Builders does full renovations and landscape builds. Realm Repairs is for everything that doesn't need a full contract: a door that won't latch, a soft spot in a floor, a TV that needs mounting so it actually stays on the wall.
Service calls start at $289. That covers the travel and the first two hours on site, which is enough to finish most of the jobs listed above. After that it's $125 an hour.
No charge for the drive. No charge for picking up on the way. No surprise line items at the bottom of the invoice.
Two ways, depending on the job.
Small jobs and repairs. Send photos and a description through the form, or email contact@realmbuilders.ca, and we'll usually price it without coming out. The more detail you give us, the more accurate that number is. No charge for quotes that don't need a site visit.
Larger or more technical work. Some jobs can't be priced from a photo: older homes, structural work, anything behind a wall. For those we book an $89 consultation. You get a proper assessment on site, straight answers about what's actually involved, and a written quote. It comes off your invoice in full if you go ahead, so if you hire us it costs you nothing.
A real assessment takes time. We're not dropping by to eyeball it and email you a guess. We'd rather spend the time getting your number right than guess at it and revise it later.
You hear about it before we touch it.
All homes keep secrets, and older ones keep more of them. Plaster can hide missing insulation or rodent damage. A finished floor can hide rotten joists. When that happens we stop, show you exactly what we found, and agree what to do next before any more work or money goes into it.
Unexpected repairs come with the territory in this trade. What homeowners tell us they appreciate is being shown the problem and walked through the options, instead of finding out about it on the invoice.
We carry full liability insurance and we're covered by WSIB.
On licensing, the honest answer is that Ontario doesn't license general repair and renovation work. If a company tells you they're licensed for it, they're stretching. We're an incorporated business, insured, WSIB covered, and we pull permits and book inspections when the work calls for it.
We're not licensed plumbers, electricians or HVAC technicians, and we don't pretend to be. We work with a network of licensed trades in those fields, so if your job needs one, ask and we'll connect you.
The same person who quoted your job. We don't sell your work on to a subcontractor and disappear, and you won't meet a salesperson first and a stranger second.
By the time we're done, a lot less than you're probably expecting. Floors get covered before anything starts. Where the work calls for it we seal the room off with poly and run negative air. Sanding runs on vacuum extraction.
We clean up at the end of every day, not just at the end of the job. Your house stays your house while we're working in it.
We do our best to reply to every call and message the same business day, and by the morning of the next business day at the latest. Most small jobs get booked within a week.
Realm is a new name.
The hands aren't.
Realm Builders is a new name on an established track record. Behind it are decades of contracting, built one specialty at a time under earlier brands: same owner, same hands.
It started in outdoor construction nearly 25 years ago: grading, drainage and sod installation. That grew into irrigation systems, serving homeowners, businesses and municipalities. From there came renovations, inground pools, hardscapes and additions, most of it done by us rather than handed down a chain of subtrades.
Realm brings all of that under one name, and that was deliberate. Renovation work, outdoor construction and small repairs each get their own division.
Three divisions, because a two hour repair and a three month renovation need different systems, different equipment and different pricing. What doesn’t change is who you call when something needs doing.

The Rest of Realm

Inside the house. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements and full home renovations, scoped and priced in writing before anything starts.

Where you are now. Small jobs, odd jobs and the ones nobody else will come out for, booked as one visit.

Outside the house. Hardscapes, decks and fences, planting, irrigation, drainage and lighting.
